Firetruck!!!

This was by far one of the hardest post to select photos for! We have so many good pictures that each have an awesome memory attached to it!

Back in April we won the chance to ride on the MU firetruck during a game of our choice. We were suppose to ride around the track before the game but someone didn't check with superiors before they listed the prize and we ended up getting to ride the firetruck from the Hearnes into the stadium before the game. Not exactly what we signed up for but still a really neat opportunity! :)

Hanging out with Truman and the cheerleaders before the ride.
It was a really sunny day, can you tell?

The helmet car!
They were in heaven!!

MU Firefighters!

TJ loves Truman!

He could not get enough of him!

Cooper really loves Truman too. He kept telling us that he was not going to hug Truman and we said that that was okay but after he saw TJ and Truman together he moved in for his own hug ...however....

it didn't quite happen! After that he did not want to get too close!

Truman, me and Brody

Brody was in awe of the pom poms...

and the cheerleaders were in love with him!!

Cooper and his favorite cheerleader.

Andi and Cooper cheering before we took off.

All of the cheerleaders loved TJ and loved that he called himself "TJ Moe" They too of course called him "TJ Moe" for the rest of the morning.

What a rough ride?! ;)

The little boys and I got to ride up front.

On our way to the stadium.

Cooper loved waving to everyone.

move waving!

Once we arrived inside the stadium and told Suzy where our seats were she decided that we should just walk around the track to get to them! You didn't have to tell us that twice!! Another major highlight of our prize was walking around the track while the football players were warming up on the field.

Andi thought she was pretty cool when she "cheered" in the same spot that the Mizzou Cheerleaders would soon be in.

We made time for a quick picture on the sidelines.

Needless to say after our time hanging out with Truman and the cheerleaders, riding the firetruck and walking on the track we were on a MAJOR high!!

MU Homecoming

This year was Mizzou's 100th Homecoming Celebration and it was a pretty big deal! Even bigger for us we got to celebrate it with Kyle and Stephanie and the Pollards too!!

First up-House Decs! But not before a "table-gate" at Buffalo Wild Wings! What a perfect place for sports enthusiasts and kids!! :)

Kyle and Stephanie with all of the kids!

House Decs are a huge hit with our family, especially the kiddos! It always seems to turn into a late night followed by an early morning at the parade and game but it is definitely worth it!!

Parade time!

After the parade and before the game and tailgate we had some time to kill so we ended up at the Quad. Thank goodness it warmed up! We went from coats, hats and gloves at the parade to an awesome fall day with none of the above at the Quad. The kids had a blast running and playing football and they even posed for a few pictures too!

TJ "Moe" - what a stud! ;)

future cheerleader?! Always willing to strike a pose!

Ready for the game!

Brody, serious about the pre-game show.

End of September fun

The end of September brought Andi's first big assignment...as a family project we were supposed to help Andi create a leaf with "fall things" on it.

I was a little surprised that Travis was excited to help! The kids had a blast going outside and collecting "fall things" and I am pretty sure we had the biggest collection of weed and crop seeds. Too bad we didnt keep the seeds and leaf presses for her project in Ag class in a few (several) years lol!

Andi and her fall leaf with Travis before they headed to school.

Whoops! I guess its time to start "Brody proofing" the house! :)

The end of September also brought Travis' birthday!

Travis, getting a little help blowing out the candles..

Still blowing out those candles!

Finally, they got it!

Boom! Go Tigers!!

Something that we never get tired of hearing around my house is the sound of the start to a Mizzou Home Football Game. Cooper has become quite the little football can say it the best..."Boom! Go Tigers" The boom, of course, is the cannon at kick off followed immediately by the crowd shouting "Go Tigers"

We are always excited when September rolls around because that means Tiger Football games are back!!

Sheep Fest

Our last sheep show of the year is one of our favorites and closest to home. Even though it is the World Sheep & Fiber Arts Festival we know it as Sheep Fest and for as long as I can remember we have been going and helping!
