Travis turns 30!!!

Travis celebrated his 30th birthday this past Friday. Andi and I made him a birthday "cake" which was really just a cherry cheesecake but it still worked for the candles! Travis did not want candles and I was only going to do a couple but Andi started helping and we did finally get all 30 candles on there :)
Andi's infamous "cheese" face

Andi enjoying cleaning off the candles :)

All 30 candles!
On Saturday night Jim and Donna Kay came up to watch the kiddos and we headed to Bevier to enjoy a night at the Pear Tree with friends! I am pretty sure everyone had fun, including the group that got to stay at home and eat McDonalds! We really appreciated the babysitters!! ..we only wish that they would have been there in the morning when our kids got up at 6am!

Not so excited about the surprise at the end of the meal :)

deciding just to let it burn instead of trying to blow out the "candle!"

The Pear Tree was a lot of fun and I think we were all stuffed when we left! We were really happy when everyone decided to stay a little longer and enjoy some more fun times at our house! I was excited to be the photographer!

fall photo shoot

I have been wanting to take TJ's 9 month pics for awhile now (since he is almost 10 months now) and get a new lens for my camera so I can have some more zoom. This week proved to be my lucky week because we got the lens last weekend and then Travis had a couple hours earlier this week to help with pictures!

We headed out to the park at Long Branch and found a couple of good spots to take some pictures. TJ didnt last too long he soon got tired of smiling and just wanted to play. Andi didnt want to cooperate when I tried to get her to sit with TJ but she did automatically strike a pose when I agreed to take a picture of her and her bear!
So below are some of my favorites...enjoy!

what we've been up to...besides football!

So I have noticed a theme...only MU football pictures! Here are some other photos of what we have been up to...

TJ is always on the go..he loves to push things and walk behind them

he also loves to stand - randomly by himself

what a stinker! he caught me and managed to turn and smile and still remain standing

if its quiet - you know he is into something!

Andi- being my model for my new lens

showing me her sad face (as she is trying not to smile)

her excited face- she likes this one the best :)

Andi & her babies- she loves her babies and she always wants me to take a picture of her

TJ treading on thin water....Im guessing you can imagine what happened next

Andi trying to push him down without making him cry and TJ pushing back, not giving out without a fight. It is amazing how strong and stubborn he is already :)

he finally ran her off...yes he is standing by himself agian. Tonight he even took 3 1/2 steps to me without falling. I cant get over how well he can balance at that age!

MU vs Buffalo

Saturday we headed to the 3rd home game of the season and this time we were determined to get there early enough to see Truman! Poor Andi waits all week long to see Truman at the football game and then we get there and she keeps asking everyone to take her to see him...but no one knows where he is.

We were at the stadium plenty early but still no Truman. Because it was family weekend and it was so busy he didnt come through the lot. Well we didnt get to see Truman but we had a GREAT time!!

Being there early- we had lots of time to tailgate before the game

enjoying a yummy brownie

TJ finally getting some downtime, even if he did get dirty :)

enjoying some water like a big kid

view from our seats

TJ enjoying the game. The game started at 1 so needless to say both kiddos crashed before the 2nd quarter and we got to hold two heavy, sleeping kids!

I still cant get over how much Andi LOVES the games. She jumped up and clapped at every chance! She totally has the M-I-Z-Z-O-U cheer down and practices the entire week :)

Go Tigers!

Melana "teaching" Andi how to skip. Andi tried to convince her that she could but Melana didnt think she was getting her knees up high enough!

TJ enjoying some food after the game

I love this picture! I guess Kyle thinks that he is too cool to play with Andi and Stephanie :)

We always have lots of fun hanging out with Kyle and Stephanie and usually get some fun pictures (some you get to see, some are kept for a later time- haha!)

Its cute because Andi thinks that anytime we go to Columbia we need to see Truman, Kyle and Stephanie! Sadly there is no game this week and then an away game the week after so we will have to wait until Oct 11th for the next game!

MU vs Nevada

We headed to Columbia bright and early today...well not so much bright! It was raining when we left Macon and raining when we got home. We walked the long way to the tailgate and got there around 10 and got to visit with some friends before it started raining around 11:15. Finally it was raining hard enough that some of us got under the tent and tried to "wait it out" At 11:45 we were getting in the truck and headed to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the game inside! We made Travis walk back to get the truck and then Andi, TJ and I crossed Stadium to meet him. Even though we weren't at the game we probably had more fun at BWW. The food was good, there were tv's everywhere, it was loud enough that no one noticed our kids, it really wasn't that crowded and best of all it was dry! We stayed there until almost half time when it was 38-17 and then started home. I think that they missed a lot of rain at the game but we were still glad that we left...maybe next week we will have nicer weather and actually stay inside the stadium for more than a quarter! We got home in time to see the end of the game and finally catch a glimpse of Truman..with a score of 69-17 we figured it was an okay game to not be in the stadium.

crazy MU fans! I took this picture while I was under the tent and the die-hards were out in the rain waiting to go into the stadium.

this is the picture I took as we were driving away...I couldn't believe that it was still so crowded!

Andi's being silly- can you tell we had been in the rain?

the boys enjoying BWW

Andi waiting to see Truman

TJ actually watching the game!

thumbs up dad!

crashed...before we even got out of Columbia. Notice the Tiger tattoo..I was not planning on wearing them today but on her way down the steps she reminded me that she needed a "tiger on her face!" So we got her a tattoo and then started outside...until she asked me about mine...I told her that I didn't need one today and in her sad voice she said "you not say m-i-z?" needless to say we both had Tigers on our faces today!
