Fishing at the lake

Friday afternoon we headed to the lake to meet Jim and Donna Kay for a relaxing weekend of fishing and shopping. We finally got down there a little before 6 (we left at 1). No we didn't get lost, I had to stop and get a picture for an article that will be in next week's MO Farmer so it put us a little behind schedule.

We got down there and everyone was excited to get out of the truck and to see papa Jim and grandma Kate. We had a fish super and tried to settle down for the night.

My kiddos thought that they were big stuff- because they both got to sleep in their own bunk bed. Andi got to sleep on the top bunk and TJ on the bottom. Don't worry we had bed rails for them and I got the other bottom bunk bed in the room. It should have been a good night sleep but its never very good when we are sleeping in "different" place and in the same room as my kids!

We had a pretty good Saturday, although the rain and shopping didn't really go exactly as planned. Sunday we had a great day and finally got to see some fish. Travis and Jim caught 4 fish that day..and to the dismay of Andi we watched them clean the fish because people eat them! "Who eats fish? I don't eat fish, that is gross!"

On our way to the lake...

Andi trying to figure out what kind of birthday decorations she needed...

TJ keeping himself busy by chewing on "his" baby. Just a nice extra that goes along with getting more teeth!

waiting to get on the dock to see the fish...

Andi was excited about the fish until she touched it...

The proud fishermen and their fish! Travis caught his biggest fish left- 67lbs!

Papa Jim and Andi.

We had to convince her that we would show Jace and Zach this picture so she would take it!

trying to take a picture of Travis and TJ but TJ kept trying to touch the fish!

Andi all decked out for her boat ride (finally!)

Looks like a lot of fun...especially shopping! Allison loves to look at magazines, too. She tells me what she and Rhett need for their birthdays!
