The basement is framed!

Well lucky for us the framers don't seem to mind the rain. We thought that they were going to start framing last Friday but that didn't happen. They have wasted no time this week and so far on Monday and Tuesday they back filled and framed the basement.

Yesterday was nasty and rainy but you couldn't keep us away from seeing the progress. We loaded up in our boots and old shoes and luckily had an umbrella because as soon as we pulled up the driveway it started raining. It was pretty fun to walk in the muddy clay and in the rain but we did make it to the house and that made it all worthwhile. It helped a little that TJ fell asleep and got to stay in the truck. Andi on the other hand was super excited and loved walking "through" the basement and was completely on cloud 9 about having windows to look out and having "stairs" in our house!

When we eventually finish this it will have an office, big living room space, guest bedroom, bathroom and my favorite- lots of storage!

getting ready to head back down the "stairs" Andi kept saying we have "steps" in our house! The rain had let up a little by now but I am guessing we would have ventured upstairs no matter what! :)
