Mother's Day Fun!

For the past few years we have spend Mother's Day at the St Louis Zoo. Yes, it involves getting up and leaving by 5 am but in the end it is totally worth it! This year we headed off with the car packed full of "just in case items" including strollers, slings, snacks and toys!

The Belt kids ready to go!

We opted for both strollers because we knew the big kids would get tired and Cooper would be too slow to walk the entire time PLUS Brody loves hanging out in the stroller! HA! Brody did not want to be in the stroller and neither did the big kids. In the end I carried Brody and pushed an empty stroller while the big kids walked/rode in the jogging stroller with Travis. Even though in the end 1 stroller would have worked better I was thankful that we had both of them and all of the other "just in case" items because we used all of them!
Big Bad Brody- ready for the zoo but not the stroller!

Andi and Cooper LOVE rides...TJ likes them (sometimes). It usually results in TJ trying to be brave and riding the one animal that doesnt go up and down.

Andi was a big kid and rode by herself while I stood between Cooper and TJ. Cooper kept trying to move my arm so he could stand up on his animal while hollaring "giddy-up, giddy-up, giddy-up" while TJ pulled me closer and told me to "hang on tight."
Most often than not the second time around TJ usually opts for the "sleigh" which he thinks is cool too!
Gotta love the sweet side to TJ too! Is 3 1/2 too young to find your doppelganger? LOL maybe its just the surroundings that make them look similar...?!

Andi and TJ excited to ride the train.

waiting patiently...

and some more waiting...

now it's our turn!

Happy to be riding the train!

"choo-choo"

doing our best "cheese"

TJ loved the tunnels!

Coop loved it all!

of course we squeezed in some "learning" at the zoo
