Gone Fishin...

During our open house today (which was uneventful) we decided to head out to Macon Lake to go fishing! Andi was excited and couldn't stop talking about it! We went to pick up some power bait (even though I told Travis that we didn't have to really even go fishing..just "pretending" would be good enough...haha yeah right he said if we were going to go then we were going to catch some fish!)

We were out for less than an hour which was about the perfect amount of time. Andi had lots of fun and they caught 4 fish! They were little ones but they caught them fast. The first spot didn't work out so well but on the second spot the fish were just waiting to jump on the line!

ahh nice and quiet...perfect fishing weather (except it was hot and super windy!)

The first fish of the day! Andi was super excited and kept saying "fish! fish!" but then was a little confused and unhappy that we had to throw it back until we told her to tell the fish "see-ya!" After Travis threw the fish back Andi kept saying "more? more?" I figured we could call it a day after the line got caught up and had to be cut...after all we did catch our 1 fish...that shows what I know!

They went on to catch 3 more fish rather quickly and Andi remembered that they would throw the fish back so before Travis could get the next 3 even reeled in all the way she would start waving to the fish and say "see-ya fish!"

They caught a second fish but by the time we ran the 3 miles back :) they had already thrown that one in...so technically this is the 3rd fish of the day.

How big was your fish Andi? "this big" or a "whop-whop" (whopper!)

Travis asked Andi if she wanted to kiss the fish (I could have killed him because we both knew that she would) instead she is kissing his hand which is oh so far away from the fish....As much fun as she had today...I am guessing she might be "hooked!" haha :)
