Christmas at the Eckler's

As we have gotten older (the last couple of years) we have moved mom and dad's from Christmas morning to the day after Christmas. We tired to get up bright and early but we were tired (sorry Kyle). We made it to mom's before 11 and started our all day party. :)

Andi helping Gma Mari hand out presents.

Papa Harold's new wii controller and game...I think he was surprised- sort of!

With all of the commotion and everyone opening presents I have mellowed a little and let me kids open presents by themselves...then I look down to see TJ opening his present all of the way and enjoying some Reese's pieces! What else could I do but ask for some for myself! lol

Cooper trying to steal TJ's animals while he is preoccupied opening another present.

Gina and Kale getting ready to open our present- a Scout of his very own! I got Kale's first and then after TJ played with it and we realized it was even neater than thought before we got Coop one too!

The big item on Andi's Christmas list was a new skateboard and a trampoline. What?! Of course this was after Santa already had presents for Andi. The trampoline was definitely a no go- you have to be 6 and it says so on the box! The skateboard I was a little dumbfounded but then figured out how to work the system...Grandma Mari got her a scooter with a bell! It's one of her favorites and she is already wearing a path with it downstairs!

TJ got one too! This was a surprise to me, but very good thinking by Gma Mari! Now they both can ride theirs and create two paths downstairs! lol

TJ likes to show off and we are realizing this more and more :) This is a calmer version of what he is capable of- jumping in the wrapping paper.

Of course, whatever you can do I can do better! Andi decided to run and jump in the paper. Kale was soon picked up off of the floor and out of the way for the crazy Belt kids!

Eckler grandkids in the wrapping paper! A 4 year old tradition at mom and dads!

I really love that last picture. What a very neat idea!!! Looks like the kids had lots of fun and Cooper looks really excited about TJ's animals.
