It has always been a tradition at my mom and dad's that we would make Christmas cookies, read the Christmas story from the bible and then open one present before bedtime. Even though traditions change when you grow up and move away we still try to customize this one into our own. We were able to help make Christmas cookies and after enjoying lunch with mom, dad, and the Pollard family we headed home for some much needed naps. After naps/before Grandpa G's house we had some important things to do...make goodies, read the Christmas storey and open a couple of presents. I am sure that it wont catch my kiddos long to figure it out but they get to open two presents which always happen to be their Christmas jammies and an ornament.
