Meetings at the lake

Travis had a district meeting at the lake last Monday through Wednesday so we decided to tag along. I figured it had to be better than Indy because I knew my way around the lake well enough to find the outlet mall and target and all the yummy food places that we ate at!

We got to hang out with Travis until lunch time on Monday and then at night after his meetings and dinners were done. The kiddos were great during the day- we paced ourselves with a little shopping Monday and Tuesday and then wore ourselves walking up all the steps at Tan-Tar-A. We also found a playground at the hotel, even though it was a hike down there it was well worth it.

By Wednesday afternoon everyone was super tired and we made the trip without stopping. For some reason hotels are not relaxing for us. TJ still did not sleep very well at night and naps were almost out of the question. We had two full beds and slept boys and girls and that didn't really let me get any sleep either! Oh well we had fun and ate well- definitely well worth the trip!

Andi was excited she found a leaf.

This little sidewalk led right down to the lake and was right across from the playground. We walked all the way down to the water and Andi threw her leaf in which led to all the ducks thinking she was throwing food in. The came waddling and swimming over and following her and she decided that was a little too close!

I was not very impressed with the hotel. We have been there before but this was not a very good experience at all. I felt like the room was gross even after the cleaned it. The carpet was disgusting feeling and after a short while of being in the room- the kids feet looked like this and TJ 's hands and knees were dirty too- YUCK!
