Picking apples

Sunday afternoon while Travis was headed to Indy we were busy eating lunch with my mom and dad and helping pick apples. Mom had already picked several 5 gallon buckets but lucky for us there were plenty left to help with and take home.
Andi was super excited and determined to carry the bucket all by herself!

at the top of the ladder (don't worry papa Harold was there too!)

Papa Harold got the very top apples and then handed or threw them down to mama Mari and Andi waiting below.

reaching as high as she could...

TJ couldn't pick any apples off of the tree...but he could help himself to the ones in the bucket!

yumm...couldn't wait to get inside!

We had lots of fun helping pick apples and got to bring 2 full 5 gallon buckets home with us. They are now waiting in my basement for me to work up...I am already imaging all of the goodies that I can make with them! We shared an apple today for a snack and we all 3 agreed- they are super delicious! Thank you :)
