Pumpkin Carving and cookies

Better late than never- but I am seeing that as a reoccurring theme! Tonight we finally had a night where we were all home and had a little time to carve our pumpkin. Luckily we just got one this year as Travis got stuck doing most of it by himself! (But what a good looking pumpkin it turned out to be. Something tells me it wont be his last!)

As if things weren't crazy enough with just getting home and lots to unpack and do, I remembered that I had bought Halloween cookie cutters! So we made up some sugar cookie dough and finished up the cookies after the jack-o-lantern was (finally) on the front step. Let's just say it is a late night for all of us to be getting to bed :)

ready to make some cookies! Andi thought that she was in charge making sure everyone got the cookie cutter that they wanted.

Making all of those cookies must have worn Andi out because when it came time to carve the pumpkin....guess who did most of the work?

and what was Andi doing?!

watching tv of course :)
Earlier when they were cleaning out the pumpkin she did try. I was glad that I had the video camera because her expression was priceless. She dipped her hand in the pumpkin only once but then tried to get me to do it by repeating everything that her dad had said to her trying to convince her that it was "fun" haha

proud of her (dad's) pumpkin

everyone had to have a hand on it!

final product

Gosh you did have some catching up to do! Looks like Halloween pumpkin' carvin' also crept up on you guys as well! And baking cookies on top of it! I'm telling you I can't keep up with your Betty Crocker skills! I guess I can blame it on not having a kitchen floor! Ha!
