Easter Activities- the beginning

Saturday morning bright and early we started making sugar cookies for Easter. Like I said bright and early- so my kiddos enjoyed a 2nd breakfast of sugar!

We had lots of good help. TJ thought he was big stuff eating the flour off the table that we used to roll the dough out on and Andi was busy icing just a little strip of her cookie and then filling every piece of that icing with sprinkles!

After decorating the cookies, Andi and TJ took a quick nap and we finished baking them. After we got all 100 some cookies baked we headed to Grandma Mari's to see everyone including Gina and Jason who were home with exciting news (they are moving to IL!)

It was a full day of fun and a great early Easter meal! We wrapped up the night with popcorn (of course!) and a fun game of Catch Phrase. Don't worry the girls are still undeafted and we now have a new "star" player, Andi! She was pretty good at (loudly) throwing out random answers :) I think we finally got home around 11:30 and got to start a couple things for the next busy day!

the master decorator
sprinkles are serious business!

ready for their first hunt of the "season"

TJ wasn't for sure what was going on but it soon became a race to anywhere. Wherever Andi would run, TJ would run and vice versa. Of course they did have lots of great helpers to find all those eggs!

Hi!- another one of TJ's favorite pastimes, waving at people.

trying to figure it all out.

two ornery boys!

Papa Harold was "cool" enough to show TJ what is sure to be another favorite hobby- playing in mud puddles! Of course my graceful kiddo fell down!

the real workers...a day is not complete unless you get to help do chores.

excited about some candy!

I am very jealous of your sugar cookie making...that NEVER goes well at my house, and we always just give up!
