Double the birthdays, double the fun right?! We were lucky enough to be able to have
TJ's birthday party on Katelyn's 16
th birthday...so it was only right to have a double birthday party!
We had our first taste of real winter weather last night with rain, snow and wind! Today it was very chilly and windy as we went to church but the kiddos still were constantly trying to negotiate some "playing in the snow time." Lucky for us we had more exciting things to do on this cold day (hosting a full house of family and friends and eating cake and ice cream!)
We had a blast spending time with everyone and truly appreciated everyone coming/attempting and spoiling our
TJ!

Andi,
TJ and Cooper before the party.
TJ loved his cake and loved sitting at the table staring at it and picking the "gravel" or white chocolate chips off of the cake. Too bad little brother Cooper saw
TJ and decided to get some of his own! You can't really see it but there are "Cooper prints" in the green and a chunk missing by
TJ's name. I tried explaining to
TJ that he shouldn't have been up there and that that made me "sad" because there was piece of cake missing. He, without missing a beat, replied "That's okay mom, Ill eat that piece." Way to put things into perspective, right? :)

Katelyn and
TJ cheesing it up.
TJ singing "Happy Birthday" (to himself and Katelyn) right along with everyone else. I think he is starting to get the hang of this! :)

blowing out the candles...

and now time for presents!

Some very neat gifts were given to both Guests of Honors :)
TJ with his "screaming monkey" A pretty neat toy but EVEN neater once Travis found the parachute that helps him fall to the ground and scream!

Another neat present....a Toy Story sleeping bag.
TJ immediately wanted to "go to bed" and went and got his pillow to do so. He even said I could open the rest of his presents for him!

Of course he changed his mind and soon his little brother took his spot :)

A toy story bouncy house...

and a cool hat!
With a full day of fun, food and no naps it didn't take long for everyone to start wearing down. After everyone left we crashed on the couch and watched a couple Christmas cartoons but soon TJ started "finding new presents" from earlier in the day.

He was very excited for his new hunting outfit...complete with warm hat, sweatshirt, overalls and green Christmas socks! Looks warm doesn't it?!

Can you tell we were tired? We actually could sit by each other without screaming, yelling or pestering each other....

and Coop even got to sneak a kiss in!
