The Belt Family: TJ turns 3!!

When its your birthday, you get to pick your favorite place (or meal) to eat. A few days before our trip to Columbia, I tried giving TJ ideas in hopes of escaping the usual favorites of Burger King or McDonald's but he had already made up his mind and shouted "Red Lobster!" I was a little surprised but then he told me why...he wanted shrimp and his favorite thing...he wanted to pet a lobster again.

After meeting Travis and visiting with Santa at Bass Pro we headed to Red Lobster where TJ totally chowed down our favorites cheese sticks, cheese biscuits and popcorn shrimp! Of course after our meal we were able to see the lobsters!

Afterwards we headed to the mall for some shopping and then back to the hotel where the night soon became interesting a few hours after settling in for the night. Around 3:15 am TJ woke up puking. I immediately remembered back to Homecoming when the flu bug hit the whole family hard and tried to gear up for a night of being up with a sick kid every 15 minutes.

Luckily and surprisingly he only puked one more time after that and then woke up everyone bright and early before 7a.m. Thankfully he was feeling lots better, after all "you cant be puking on your birthday" or at least that is what TJ told us that morning at 3am.

We left the hotel early because Travis had another day of meetings and we were all ready to get home. We did get breakfast for the ride home though, per TJ's request strawberry milk and chocolate donuts. Thank God they were all feeling well and everything stayed down! :)
